All my years as an educator have been at Unity. I began teaching here in 2007. I have taught math, science, and computers. I oversee the computer lab at the middle school.
Prior to teaching, I was employed at at Blessing Hospital for 16 years. I was a telecommunications tech. (switchboard operator) first and later became a security officer. My career and endeavors to find other careers before becoming an educator guide my interest in educating students. Students need the basic core of being able to read, write, communicate, and perform math computations for any career and to manage their personal life.. Students must also be able to communicate in a positive manner. I inspire my students to think of their future and to have the ambition to guide them through any career path.

I was born and and raised in Quincy. My wife, Stephanie, and I are parents of two boys and two girls. As a parent, I now understand the tasks parents take on caring for their children and helping them with their education after working all day. It is a much faster paced world now.

“The aim of assessment is primarily to educate and improve student performance, not merely audit it.... Once assessment is designed to be educative, it is no longer separate from instruction; it is a major, essential and integral part of teaching and learning.” Grant Wiggins
