Comparing Fractions (Using the LCD) :
Finding the Least Common Denominator (LCD) :
· Try to divide the smaller denominator into the larger denominator. If the smaller divides in evenly, the larger denominator is the LCD.
· If the smaller denominator does not divide evenly into the larger denominator, then we add another set (the denominator #) to the larger denominator and try to divide in again. We keep adding the set to the larger until the smaller does divide in evenly to find the LCD.
